Grams to cups: honey
Working the other way — a recipe in grams, and cups are what you have in the drawer:
| Grams of honey | Cups (approx.) |
|---|---|
| 50 g | ⅙ cup |
| 100 g | ⅓ cup |
| 125 g | ⅜ cup |
| 200 g | ⅝ cup |
| 250 g | ¾ cup |
| 500 g | 1½ cups |
Where this number comes from
Most of our weights are the King Arthur Baking chart figure, unchanged. This one is not, and it is worth saying why: USDA FoodData Central (FDC 169640, Honey) lists 1 cup = 339 g. King Arthur's chart gives honey only per tablespoon (21 g), which scales to 336 g a cup — the same weight within a rounding step.
Every value we don't depart on is locked to the chart by a test, and each departure is pinned to the publication it names, so this list stays short and deliberate — you can read all of them on the methodology page.
